L’Rain releases new single “borderline”
Like so much of L’Rain’s sound, “borderline” is a song in continual motion, a journey with no destination, a land unto itself. Mapping the psychogeographies of a relationship – its shape, language, culture and history designed by two people in both harmony and conflict – Taja Cheek traces the contours of undulating outcrops and shimmering bodies of water, shaded in the gossamer textures of shoegaze and urged onwards by a restless, snare-driven rhythm.
“borderline” is the second single from L’Rain’s kaleidoscopic fourth album, fata morgana. Out now alongside a video directed by Mackai Sharp, the new single follows the album’s lead release, “soulless cycle.”
