Lau Ro Releases “Simplesmente”

While recording their second album, Lau, São Paulo-born, Brighton-based artist Lau Ro embraced the fixed parameters of chronic pain, locating beauty in short spurts of energy, and adopting a loose, highly intuitive process that began on a 4-track cassette recorder. The simply strummed “Simplesmente” reflects their desire for spontaneity, trusting the winds of improvisation. The track slowly unfolds to a string-flourished final pass. Ro adds, “It was quite cathartic, one of those things that can’t be planned.”

Following the release of “Conclusão,” the new single “Simplesmente” is out now.
