Little information is publicly available about The Watson Brothers Band — the duo lead by brothers Gary and Wayne Watson. Since it came out in 1974, the Wilmington, Delaware family band’s sole release, “Slippin On By” b/w “Just Whistle,” has made the rounds, gaining traction certain pockets of the internet. 

Leading off Maybe I’m Dreaming — the latest collection of homespun folk, soft rock, and otherwise 70s and 80s FM radio adjacent music selected by the mangled minds behind the beloved Follow the Sun and Sad About the Times compilations — “Just Whistle” blissfully jangles beneath mellow brotherly melodies, landing the track somewhere between Moby Grape and Big Star.
