Ashrae Fax

Ashrae Fax is a synthy goth-pop band from North Carolina, noted for their anachronistic sound. Their first album, Static Crash!, was self-released in 2003 on spray painted CDs. While the band found a loyal following with their Gothic ethereal pop/noise, the album had “few takers.” It was re-released again on tape in 2005, and later on vinyl in 2011. As buzz around the band finally grew, Mexican Summer re-released Static Crash on vinyl in 2013. In 2014, the band released their second album, Never Really Been Into It in 2014.
