i don’t even know what 2013 means any more! I liked a lot of things in 2013, but then it turned out it was 2012. and now, you say there will be a 2014? here are some things i plan on associating with 2013 someday.
- that brian eno and john cale album, wrong way up, that one’s great, i listen to it all the time.
- bubbly mommy gun, sand roses- the best band.
- big french, down town running- sorry i called bubbly mommy gun the best band. i hope that doesn’t hurt your feelings. you’re amazing too! just keep practicing.
- miles davis, in a silent way. and on the corner. miles davis is like soup to me. sometimes you just need some soup you know?
- beck, one foot in the grave- I listened to this album and i knew i would never drown. i think he’s got something new out. i oughta find it. i listen to the album he produced for thurston moore a lot. demolished thoughts. i listen to that too much i think!
- bird names, naming names– another classic. i’m excited about the album they’re working on now as a power trio.
- reading james brown’s memoirs was a powerful event.
- chris weisman, better psychics, maya properties — mostly i listened to 4, 5, and 6, but it’s all good. Chris weisman is an ecosystem.
- ruth garbus is a hurricane. Can’t wait until she records her new songs with Julia Tadlock. Her new tape with danny bissette is killer. It’s actually Danny’s birthday today. Happy Birthday Danny! Everyone wish Danny happy birthday in your head. You are a great songwriter! keep up the good work! And Kyle Thomas is coming home for the holidays today, i heard. Hopefully I can use peer pressure to get him to drink some of my eggnog. He’s so cool. I listen to his stuff all the time too. That reminds me I need to make my christmas cards today. time to stop this music garbage! i listened to a lot of other music though. I can’t remember it all. oh and blanche blanche blanche, i can’t forget them. OK that’s it, everybody else sucks! especially gorilla toss!
