Katzin Releases New Single “Nantucket”

Buckaroo, the debut album from 20-year-old New York songwriter and recent Mexican Summer-signee Katzin, draws upon symbols of the mythologized American West — cowboys, horses, vast deserts, rolling plains, ancient rock formations — to trace that leap from adolescence to adulthood in all its unsteady shine.

“Nantucket” is the third single and epic closing track from Buckaroo. Supported by expert, expressive playing from bandmates Max Morgen (electric guitar, banjo, programming) and Matt Levesque (drums), Zion Battle, the creative force behind Katzin, traverses the emotional spectrum that colors young love on “Nantucket,” and conjures the lineage of indie rock and Americana that informs his compact but wisened catalog of music.
